The Information Technology Alliance of Appalachian Ohio (ITAAO) has partnered with Shawnee State University, Adena Ventures, Ohio’s IT Alliance, Ohio University GRID Lab, Washington State Community College, West Virginia University Virtual Environments Laboratory, and Kent State University Tuscarawas to develop and present the Shawnee Conference 4.0 on Interactive Digital Technology…..now in its fourth year.

The Shawnee Conference brings together students, educators, researchers, business people, and investors from the Ohio Valley region and nationwide to learn and discuss the prospects for career and business development in this Region of Excellence in Interactive Digital Technology (IDT).

Keynote speaker at this years conference is the internationally renowned founder of Destineer Studiors, and former Executive Vice President at Bungie Studios during the development of Halo, one of the most successful and often played computer games of all time……….Peter Tamte. With nearly two dozen exciting, interactive, and even hands-on programming session the novice explorer, and the seasoned professional will be rewarded with a day of learning, growth, and discovery. Tailor-made sessions will be available for educators, students(middle school through college), game developers, and economic development professionals.

Also be a part of a game tournament…….with prizes!!! See the student exhibits of their computer games, of computer animation works, digital graphics, and game-based art. Exhibits from game development companies, educational programs, and much, much more………..an incredible day!!!!!!

Base of operations will be the beautiful, modern, state-of-the-art, Rife Center for the Fine and Performing Arts on the picturesque and convenient Shawnee State University campus in downtown Portsmouth, Ohio. Near-by parking provides easy access to all the facilities, and buses can pull up to the Rife Center main entrance for drop-off.
