Our next edition of the NWOACM social gathering is Thursday, April 23, from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.

We are meeting in a new place - Fricker's in Bowling Green - so we can watch the Wings/Blue Jackets hockey game while we meet to stay in touch.

Everyone is welcome to join us, even if not members of ACM or NWOACM.

NWOACM is hosting a dinner get-together before the Scott McCloud talk on October 24th.

Meet us at 5pm at Campus Polleyes, 440 E. Court St., Bowling Green, OH, 43402 for some eats.

After a quick dinner, we will make our way to the Student Union for the 6:30pm talk.

Join Microsoft and David Chappell for Breakfast As We Discuss Understanding Software + Services.

The move to service-orientation is well underway, both inside enterprises and on the Internet. What role does traditional software play in a world of on-line services? In particular, how is Microsoft approaching the combination of software plus services? This presentation provides an overview of this area, giving an introduction to and a perspective on this emerging combination.

Deepak Shikarapur will speak at the May 1 meeting of the BG Rotary Club.

He is the Director and CEO of Autoline Dimensions Engineering Services Private Limited, a Pune, India, based Global Engineering Services company. When the rest of the IT industry was busy only in offering services through ‘body shopping’ he pioneered marketing of the Software Product, Turbo Analyst, for bringing discipline in software development life-cycle. He was involved in setting up two B2B exchanges.

With the end of the semester comes a lot of stress as we are all trying to get
projects finished and study for exams.

So, why don't you take a break and join ACM in our annual Spring picnic with
free food and soft drinks provided!

It will be held at BG "City Park" (see link below) in the Kiwanis shelter.

The picnic begins at 12 p.m. and will probably end around 4 or 5 p.m.

It is a great time to hang out with fellow CS majors and with our awesome
faculty members!
